Written by Kourtney Tateson - Friday, 16 April 2010 12:52

The days of home parties for Tupperware and candles seem like they may have disappeared. But one Calgary woman has found a way to work with vendors’ limited schedules.

Tired of home parties? Head to the trade show

Tired of the home shopping party circuit? There's a new way -trade shows where vendors gather in one place, and shoppers browse the wares.

"Everyone's time is precious these days," says Kimberly Gardippie, Norwex consultant and founder of the Calgary Business Women Trade Show. "The show is a great way for ladies to shop under one roof without having to attend or host a home party."

Gardippie has been putting together events for her fellow business owners to network for the past four years. She started by hosting multiple consultants in her home, but quickly moved to a public location with more parking and better access for wheelchairs and strollers.

This spring's event will be held April 10 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Marlborough Park Community Association, 6021 Madigan Dr. N.E.
